The importance of conservation through education and first hand experiences. We do displays and talks in schools, children's parties, clubs, at galas and fayres. Cold Blooded Encounters aim school talks/parties at the appropriate age group, ensuring the learners/children get the best possible experience and understanding from the encounters. There are lots of hands on opportunities and chances for photos to help teachers out with displays etc. Who knows we might even help cure some of those snake and spider phobias! We are also very passionate about our own British wildlife and love to educate on our British reptile/amphibian species, their identification, where to find them and the importance of habitat preservation and conservation.

Having kept reptiles since 1994 I know that there are some pet shops that give potential reptile owners very bad advice and although they claim to be reptile specialists, don't really know the best methods for keeping reptiles. They give bad advice on heating, temperature control, substrate to use and general feeding patterns. The problem is that these commercial pet shops are only interested in profit and not the animals welfare (despite what they advertise). So please get in touch if in any doubt.
